Ruai Luak is easily the hardest worker in the room. What better way to illustrate that than being in the gym working on his craft, the morning after he had won the Uganda National Men’s basketball Championship 2022 with City Oilers. The teenager’s dream to play overseas has come true.
Ruai Luak will start his journey in the professional environment of Zenit basketball club in St. Petersburg, Russia. With the support from his agency RISG, both parties have agreed to a one year deal with the Super League team Zenit 2
.
The second team ( Zenit 2) competes in super league and are the reigning champions of the VTB Youth League.
The contract does come to validity after arrival and passing the medical examination in St. Petersburg Russia.
Ruai’s year was off to a great start when he won the MVP Award of the UCU Invitational Tournament, also playing a pivotal role in the Oilers’ eighth NBL Championship quest before this opportunity to play abroad.
Luak has played for Kibuli S.S, Namuwongo Blazers and City Oilers.
